True One-Touch Cappuccino
Simply press the dedicated cappuccino button and the Impressa Z5 will begin frothing and/or steaming your milk, grind, tamp, and brew. It automatically siphons milk from the included 32 ounce insulated thermal milk container, combines it with hot steam and delivers hot, frothed milk into your Cappuccino cups. Turn the dial to the latte setting, and the automatic frother will deliver hot steamed milk with very little or no froth for that delicious Latte. Once the programmed amount of milk has been prepared, the Impressa Z5 brews perfect espresso into the very same cup and leaves you with your one and only responsibility: the art of enjoyment.
Expansive Visual Programming
Not only do you not have to move your cup to make a cappuccino, you do not even need to know its size. With the Impressa Z5, you can visually program it to remember all of your favorite cup sizes. Rather than entering the size, in ounces, through a program menu, you simply press and hold the cappuccino button (with your cup under the spout) and wait until the Z5 displays "Enough?" When your cup is filled with the desired amount of milk and/or foam, press the button again, and the Z5 will remember your setting. Then set your espresso volume and the Z5 will produce your favorite size drink every time. You can always use the Rotary Dial to override the programming without fear of losing your favorite settings; the Z5 will revert back on the next brew. This innovative programming feature works on all of the Z5's beverage buttons.

The Jura-Capresso Impressa z5, like its twin brother, the Jura-Capresso Z6 exudes commercial-quality muscle. At the heart of the Impressa Z5 are DUAL stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock boilers. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the Z5, and it will be ready to brew AND steam in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the Z5's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time. Because the Impressa Z5 has two heating elements, your days of waiting between brewing espresso and frothing milk are over. Jura-Capresso built this machine to be a workhorse, and the Z5 is in fact rated for light commercial use, meaning you can run it hard without the fear of wearing it out.
Satisfies Every Taste
The Jura-Capresso features 8 beverage buttons that come completely pre-programmed and ready to brew coffee and cappuccino and even tea and custom milk drinks. You can program each of the Z5’s brewing buttons to remember the strength, temperature, and size of your drink, and using the rotating dial on the top of the machine, temporarily override any programmed settings at will. Available settings include 5 different coffee strengths, 3 different temperature levels, and unlimited cup size choices up to 16 ounces. The dedicated hot water spout, also featured on the Impressa Z6, means never again having to purge a milk frother prior to brewing tea. Best of all, every beverage button can be renamed to display a custom name for your favorite drink (e.g. when pressing the 1-cup espresso button instead of "1 ESPRESSO" the display could show "MY SHOT" or anything else up to 12 characters).
Stunning Construction
Perfect materials and perfect form converge to create the Impressa Z5 from Jura-Capresso. Not only pleasant to touch, they also visually convey the machine's finer qualities. The Z5 sports a very clean, contoured design that is most prominent on its facade. A solid, precision-crafted 3-mm thick brushed aluminum alloy face looks fabulous in any kitchen or office. Toss in the machined aluminum buttons and stainless steel drip tray grid, and you end up with a machine that may well outlive every other appliance in your kitchen.
Acoustical Design
Art is a medium expressed in many ways. Aural aesthetics was of crucial importance in the Z5's creation. A close liaison between the Capresso designers and a team of acoustical specialists resulted in one of the quietest automatic coffee centers on the market today. Additionally, the Impressa Z5 monitors the amount of beans in its bean hopper using special active beams. This ensures you never run out of beans mid-brew and get stuck with a weak cup of coffee. The Z5's Integrated commercial grade steel conical burr grinder has six settings which allows you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans - from light to dark roasts.
Ecological Intelligence
Do want your drinks ready for you at any random moment but do not want to waste electricity? Activate the Impressa Z5's Energy Save Mode© to lower the temperature of the unit without completely turning it off. Just as the Z5 has two heating elements, it also has two energy saving settings: one to turn off the heating element for steam only, and one to also lower the temperature of the ThermoBlock for coffee. The first setting is perfect when you need espresso all day long but seldom require lattes or other milk beverages. The second energy saving setting is great when you will have more intervals between brewing espresso drinks.
Intelligent Pre Brew Aroma System
The unique two step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee, which means maximum flavor extraction with perfect crema topping. With the Z5 you can brew one to sixteen ounce cups of coffee in five strength settings. It grinds from 5 to a maximum of 16 grams of coffee from extra mild to extra strong. The Z5 will automatically discard up to 16 pucks (used coffee portions) before its puck container gets full.
Integrated Pure Water System
The advanced Clearyl filtration system prevents water impurities from entering sensitive areas of the machine, causing damage, and altering the taste of the coffee produced. A change filter message will be displayed when it is time to replace the cartridge (about every 8-12 weeks or 20 gallons). The Z5 will also prompt you when it is time to clean the machine, so proper maintenance is a breeze.
