For some time now I've been thinking of purchasing an automatic espresso coffee machine. I did a lot of reading online and already decided that Capresso is much better rated than Saeco. Now it seems to me that the only difference between Impressa Z6 and Z5 is that the Z6 has a little bit different body. What about functionality - are they identical? I would hate to pay 300.00 more for just the look...

You are right on all fronts! We decided to carry Jura Capresso and Capresso products because they are better, also carry a better warranty ( full 2 years) and service. Impressa Z6 and Impressa Z5 are functionally identical so you can save yourself 300.00 right here. You may have a look in our
Jura Capresso Special Deals
section and save substantially more if you decide to purchase one of the factory certified (used as demo or display models) machines. Impressa Z5 is available for only 1,899 which would be another 300.00 less for you. Warranty on certified units is only 1 yr.

Thank you for a great advice. We purchased the factory certified machine and it arrived in a great shape, really looking like a brand new machine. After almost 3 weeks I can tell that it works perfectly. There is only one thing: the steamed milk it produces is not very hot. Any way to improve it? Am I doing something wrong?

How hot is the steamed milk coming out of your machine? 140-155 degrees F is the usual range. Closer you stop to 140 F, the sweeter your milk tastes and better microfoam texture it has. For most people 150 F is considered hot enough and it is a good compromise between sweetness, microfoam and temperature. How hot is the milk your Impressa Z5 produces?

My steamed milk is about 145-150 F so I guess it is the way it is supposed to be. Only my wife complains that it is not hot enough, for me and the kids it is just fine. I will tell her that she is wrong.

There is a cheat so you can make the steamed milk hotter just for your wife. When the machine is drawing milk from the milk container slightly pinch the silicone tubing which connects the container with the Z5. Reducing the flow of milk drawn will increase the exit temperature of the foamed milk. Grin

Thank you so much! This did the trick.

Recently we listed Impressa Z5 Open Box Special. We have only one available at this time. This unit was taken out of the box but never used. Sold at discount, complete with all the accessories, paperwork and 24 month warranty, packed back in original (but unsealed) box. http://www.all4coffee.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=91&products_id=309

It is only 2,699...

Just noticed that Impressa Z7 is coming out at the price of current Impressa Z5. I read about it and it seems like it combines best features of Z5 and Z6 with newer technology and very smart look. It is expected in October, just in time for Christmas... I want it.
