I'm starting this topic since the new Impressa C5 is about to arrive. Not known in the U.S. yet but with a great reputation (European countries got it first) will be sold at 899.00 with specs equal of the Impressa J5 which is 1,799. Please check it out at http://www.all4coffee.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66&products_id=47
Just listed it yesterday and already got one review by a customer who used to own it in London. He now lives in California and cannot wait to buy one. You may read it at http://www.all4coffee.com/index.php?main_page=product_reviews_info&products_id=47&reviews_id=101

Please share your reviews on this unit or feel free to ask questions on this new product from Capresso.

Impressa C5 looks like a nice alternative to the more expensive models. I was looking at ENA 3 which is ther same price. Is the C5 a better machine?

Good question. The machine is to arrive on 1/18/2010 but we just got bits and pieces of info and specs on it. Detailed info on the Impressa C5 will be available later this month. From our comparison of other models and the known specs of the C5 it looks like it is almost identical to the Impressa J5 and pretty close to ENA 3 but with more programming options. It is quipped with dual frother but not frothXpress (automatic frother) like J5, so if you don't care about the automatic frother it seems like the best choice (given price and functionality). I could safely say that it is better than the ENA 3 (which doesn't have automatic frother either).

I see that Impressa C5 is now available here. I just returned from Europe where friend of mine had this model. For two weeks I was able to observe my friend making coffee with it every morning. It looked so easy that I asked him to let me try - without any previous experience in making "fancy" coffees I was able to achieve a perfect cappuccino at my first try. I see that there are other more expensive models which make the process even more automatic but I think that I'm going to purchase Impressa C5 model which is automatic enough for me! Just wanted to make sure that it is indeed in stock now?
